Just check out the many ways how to get a working HWID for your machine and use that instead of a KMS Service, which will give you the ability to do as much Re-Installation etc. To change that Level, the Product Key will need a change, here from Home to Pro. That upgrade would be for the same level as the origin activation only like: Home -> Home or Pro -> Pro. If you had an HWID of your machine, it would store the relevant Hardware Data at MS Servers and use those to Auto-Activate, even if you upgrade from W10 to W11, but from Home to Pro. Using a KMS Service for Activation of Windows, there will be no HWID at MS Servers. It sounds like your laptop was originally supplied by the OEM with Home installed, which you later upgraded to Pro. Enter the 25-digit Windows Pro product key. Under Activation, select Change product key. Navigate to Start Menu > Settings > Updates and Security > Activation. AFAIK, you could not directly upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Windows 11 Pro!įirstly you/ll need to change the used product key of W10 from Home to Pro and then reactivate it using your initial activation scheme, which seems to be KMS because of: "Windows is activated using your organization's activation service"Īfter that, you could upgrade to Windows 11 Pro and use the KMS again for the activation using a Windows 11 Pro Product Key. Here's how to replace your current product key: Make sure you have the latest Windows updates.
